Immerse yourself in a quilting retreat celebrating textiles, handwork, and the wonders of Italy. Spend 6 nights nestled in picturesque Chianti where you’ll learn the art of quilt making from Barbie. She’ll teach needle turn appliqué, patchwork, and hand piecing while everyone makes their quilt top under her guidance and expertise. Each day, you’ll partake in a morning class, then enjoy a mix of guided explorations and free time to immerse yourself in the tranquility of the area.

Day trips to Florence, Siena, Prato, Luca & Pisa.

Come along to learn all you need to make your message big and bold for all the world to see.

This workshop is brought to you by Antony Perring and Barbie Mitchell - textile artists, quilters and educators.

You will learn a number of different techniques to bring your own text message to a textile project - banner, quilt, or other textile piece of your own choice.

INCLUDED - use of the studio space at hand stitched owl, tuition for the workshop, use of templates and equipment, workbook and instructional materials, tea and coffee.
